Celeste Smith

Celeste Smith is an Indigenous teacher, community activist, and business owner in Kagawong, Ontario. She is the founder and owner of Cultural Seeds, a company that sells and trades seeds from rare and heritage plants. Cultural Seeds also offers consulting services on Indigenous plant knowledge. Celeste started her business with the mission to reclaim traditional agricultural practices and share Indigenous ecological knowledge. She holds a Bachelor of Education in Indigenous Studies from Brock University, and she currently works as a Professor at Niagara College in Ontario. She is a fellow of The Fireweed Fellowship, the first national accelerator program for Indigenous entrepreneurs. Celeste also represented Cultural Seeds at the 2021 Ontario Pow Wow Pitch, where she finished as a semi-finalist.
