The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada is pleased to invite you to attend the public program of the First Virtual Canadian Women-only Business Mission to South Korea from 7:00-9:00 PM EST on November 3 & 4, 2020 (9:00-11:00 AM KST on November 4 & 5 in South Korea). Following the success of the first women-only business mission to Japan in April 2019, APF Canada continues to help women entrepreneurs in Canada to diversify and expand trade opportunities into Asian markets through its women-only trade mission series, with generous support from the Government of Canada.

This two-day virtual conference features all the same components as an in-person trade mission, such as high-level speakers from Canada and South Korea, short pitches by mission delegates to showcase women-led Canadian innovation, and networking opportunities for attendees and delegates alike.

Distinguished speakers include:

•    The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade, Government of Canada
•    Her Excellency Myung-hee Yoo, Minister of Trade, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Government of the Republic of Korea (TBC)
•    Dr. Songyee Yoon, CEO NCSOFT (West)
•    Vicki Saunders, Founder, SheEO
•    Tanya van Beisen, Executive Director, Catalyst Canada

We encourage you to participate and learn more about Canada–Korea trade, investment opportunities, strategies for advancing gender equality through international trade, and to hear about innovations by Canadian entrepreneur delegates.

The virtual format of the public portions of the event enables participation by an unlimited number of women entrepreneurs across Canada as non-delegate participants to the mission’s two-day conference agenda. The online format allows us to reach and connect a broader range of women entrepreneurs who are interested in exporting to Asian markets, regardless of where they are in Canada or their stage of export readiness.

Speakers will deliver their remarks in English. French and Korean language interpretation will be available for the main conference programming, but will not be available for the individual networking sessions.
