Sydney Robinson est la cofondatrice de Vessl Prosthetics Inc., une société ayant mis au point un système innovant d’emboîtement de prothèses, afin d’améliorer l’ajustement des membres artificiels des personnes amputées et leur confort. Sydney et le cofondateur de la société Oleksiy Zaika décident de créer cette technologie après avoir constaté les difficultés rencontrées par les personnes amputées avec leurs prothèses. Le système d’emboîtage Vessl s’adapte tout seul aux changements de volume des membres, réduisant ainsi la douleur et la gêne causées par des prothèses mal ajustées. Cette technologie vise à réduire les coûts cliniques, à permettre aux personnes amputées d’être en meilleure santé et à leur apporter du bien-être. Titulaire d’une maîtrise en génie biomédical de l’Université Western, Sydney possède une expérience de la recherche et des études cliniques en anatomie, en médecine et en génie biomédical. Avec environ 1,4 million de personnes vivant avec une jambe amputée en dessous du genou rien qu’aux États-Unis, l’innovation de Vessl a le potentiel d’améliorer la qualité de vie de nombreuses personnes amputées dans le monde et de révolutionner le marché mondial des prothèses et des orthèses, qui représente 6 milliards de dollars américains.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
