Elle est la cofondatrice de Research and Education for Solutions to Violence and Abuse (RESOLVE) et de la PrairieAction Foundation, dont elle a &eacute;t&eacute; la pr&eacute;sidente pendant 10 ans. Gr&acirc;ce &agrave; ses efforts de collecte de fonds, elle parvient &agrave; r&eacute;unir plus de cinq millions de dollars pour promouvoir la recherche et l&rsquo;&eacute;ducation en vue de mettre fin &agrave; la violence familiale. Ce travail conduit &agrave; la cr&eacute;ation de RESOLVE, un r&eacute;seau de recherche et d&rsquo;&eacute;ducation dont les centres sont situ&eacute;s dans des universit&eacute;s &agrave; travers le Canada. Margaret Newall est &eacute;galement tr&egrave;s engag&eacute;e dans les causes qui soutiennent les femmes et les familles autochtones; elle a notamment contribu&eacute; &agrave; la construction d&rsquo;un pavillon de ressourcement pour la Thunder Women Healing Lodge Society.
