Mikaella Go

Before the crowdfunding campaign that launched her Vancouver startup, Vessi Footwear, co-founder Mikaella Go had successfully created nine others. Go co-founded Vessi Footwear – the world’s first ever 100% waterproof knit shoe – and has taken off since. She’s raised over one million dollars from that campaign, and the company has only continued to evolve further. After COVID-19 hit in 2020, the company donated over 2,000 Vessi pairs to healthcare workers. Go is a revolutionary entrepreneur kicking it big with footwear that is more than just trendy – it’s sustainable too. With each pair that is released, the company saves 880 gallons of water per pair. In 2014, Go was featured on Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
