Sunshine Tenasco

Sunshine Quem Tenasco is the founder of Her Braids, and is Anishinabe from Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg, Quebec. She is also a clean water activist, an issue which has directly impacted her community as Kitigan Zibi has not had clean drinking water for the past 15 years. Sunshine sells her handmade beaded pendants, along with a variety of clothing that bring awareness to the issue of clean water and water protection. Her Braids donates 10% of profits directly to the David Suzuki Foundation’s Blue Dot campaign, a movement to enshrine legal rights to a healthy environment in national legislation.
