Josée Shushei Leblanc

Josée Shushei Leblanc is one of Evol’s 25 Leaders of Impact 2022. As a member of the Innu First Nation of Uashat mak Mani Utenam located near Sept-Îles, she is a proud Indigenous businesswoman. She is the founder and owner of Hôtel-Boutique Atikuss in Uashat, Québec. Her hotel offers both accommodations and experiences in Québec, such as whale watching. Josée’s entrepreneurship has been driven by her goal to promote the work of Indigenous women and ancestral knowledge. In addition to her hotel, she runs boutique workshops in Uashat and Old Québec, where she invites tourists to explore Indigenous handicrafts.
