Jennie Coleman

Jennie Coleman is the President and owner of Equifruit, Canada’s leading Fairtrade-certified banana importer. Equifruit highlights environmental and social sustainability in their import process, ensuring that occupational health and safety standards are met, employees are paid fairly, and environmental stewardship is prioritized. Jennie took over the company in 2013 with the mission of ethical food sourcing. She is passionate about the produce industry and she is a member of North American associations including the Canadian Produce Marketing Association, the Québec Produce Marketing Association, and the World Banana Forum. Since she began her leadership at Equifruit, the company has grown significantly, being ranked on The Globe and Mail’s list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies.
