Arlene Dickinson

Arlene Dickinson is a South African Canadian businesswoman and television personality. She is the founder and CEO of Venture Communications, a marketing and communications agency, and the CEO of Venturepark, a business accelerator for entrepreneurs. Arlene is one of the most well-known and prominent entrepreneurs in Canada. She is a self-made venture capitalist and has invested in a variety of companies through her venture fund, District Ventures Capital. Arlene is best known as a judge on the CBC television show “Dragons’ Den,” where she has appeared as a panelist since 2007. She is also the author of several books on entrepreneurship and business, including All In and Persuasion. Arlene is a strong advocate for women in business and has been awarded the Calgary Business Owner of the Year, PROFIT magazine’s Top 100 Women Business Owners, the Pinnacle Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence, and Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100.
