Sarah Bennetto O’Brien

Sarah Bennetto O’Brien is the CEO of The Handpie Company in Albany, PEI. Sarah founded The Handpie Company in 2017 with the mission to make handheld comfort foods using local ingredients. The company’s products are inspired by the traditional Cornish Pasty that originates in the United Kingdom. Their hand pies are offered through a small takeout retail shop in Albany, as well as grocery stores across PEI. Sarah is a trained chef who studied at the Culinary Institute in Charlottetown, where she developed a love for PEI and its cuisine. She makes all her hand pies with the utmost care for local ingredients, having worked on organic farms in both BC and PEI.
