Louise Dirks

Louise Dirks is the founder and CEO of gravitypope, a Canadian fashion retailer that specializes in independent and artisanal footwear and clothing brands. With a passion for quality, natural fabrics, and thoughtful design, Louise opened her first store in Edmonton in 1990 with a focus on footwear and a coffee shop in the back. Today, gravitypope has locations in Calgary, Vancouver, and Toronto, with each store designed specifically for its unique space. Louise oversees all of her buyers, approving all purchases and making the final decisions on new brands to stock, creating a unique collection of items for each store that is always evolving. As an international connoisseur of distinctive pieces, she travels to trade shows and showrooms across Europe seeking timeless pieces and items for her stores.
