Christina Jennings is the founder and CEO of Shaftesbury, a global production company that produces and distributes scripted drama, kids and digital content. Christina founded Shaftesbury in 1987 as a feature film company, producing acclaimed titles such as Long Life, Happiness and Prosperity, and Camilla. Over the years, she has evolved the company into a diversified business with offices in Toronto and Los Angeles. Shaftesbury has built a reputation for adapting novels into series, such as the hit show Murdoch Mysteries, which is one of the longest-running and most successful dramas in Canadian television history. Christina was named Producer of the Decade by Playback in 2010 and awarded the 2020 Golden Screen Award for TV Drama by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, in recognition of her accomplishments in the Canadian film and television industry.
