Ivy Richardson

Ivy Richardson is the founder and lead facilitator of Red Girl Rising Movement Society, a wellness service that offers boxing, fitness, and yoga programs. Red Girl Rising Movement Society is also home to an Indigenous competitive youth boxing team called Team 700, where Ivy is the head coach. Her mission is to provide a space for Indigenous youth to attain the tools they need to navigate life. Ivy is Nuxalk and Gusgimukw from her matrilineal line and Irish, Scottish, and English from her patrilineal line. ​She founded the Red Girl Rising Movement Society based on her two greatest passions: community and movement. Her business shares teachings and practices that are inspired by Ivy’s roots, hence their motto, “live every day like a ceremony.” Red Girl Rising Movement Society is in the Native Women’s Association of Canada’s #BeTheDrum Indigenous Women’s Business Directory.
