Marie Wright

Marie Wright is an entrepreneur and filmmaker from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. After completing a degree in Marketing at StFX University, she co-founded Mirror Image Media with her twin sister, a queer-owned full-service video production company based in Halifax. Mirror Image Media produces documentaries and promotional content at the local and national level for clients such as the National Film Board, CBC, the Canadian Cancer Society, and United Way. Two of their documentaries have circulated internationally at film festivals: The Social Shift, a feature-length film on a cross-Canada journey discovering social entrepreneurship, and Transform, a short autobiographical documentary on spinal cord injuries. She is passionate about creating change and bringing marginalized voices to the forefront through film. Marie is a recipient of the 2022 Business #StandWithOthers Prize awarded by Telus.
