Meaghan Wright

Meaghan Wright is a filmmaker and entrepreneur from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Along with her twin sister Marie, she co-founded Mirror Image Media, a queer-owned full-service video production company. Meaghan specializes in documentary filmmaking and has directed, shot, and edited films for clients such as the National Film Board, CBC, the Canadian Cancer Society, and United Way. She is passionate about using film to tell stories that bring marginalized voices to the forefront and create change. Some of her notable works include the feature-length film The Social Shift, which explores social entrepreneurship across Canada and won awards for Best Documentary and Best Edited Documentary, and Transform, a short autobiographical documentary on spinal cord injuries. She has been acknowledged for her work and continues to work on projects that make an impact on society. Meaghan is a recipient of the 2022 Business #StandWithOthers Prize awarded by Telus.
