Naomi Blackman

Naomi Blackman co-founded alder apparel in Toronto, Canada after feeling frustrated with the lack of good outdoor clothing options for women. They offer inclusive sizes, community-inspired designs, sustainable and ethical production, and a fun brand that stands out from the typical performance-driven, hardcore athletic brands in the outdoor market. Both Wujec and Blackman have worked in retail and have a passion for customer service and helping people find products that will improve their everyday lives. They both decided to become entrepreneurs because they wanted to be part of building something from the ground up and because they believe in the purpose of alder. One of Blackman’s proudest moments is seeing alder merchandise in the well-known outdoors retail chain of MEC stores.
