Seema Sanghavi
Seema Sanghavi, the founder of Cooks Who Feed, is passionate about fighting hunger sustainably and nurturing society through commerce. Cooks Who Feed is a line of aprons and cooking ware made by fair trade employment. For every apron sold, the company provides meals through partnerships with charities that aim to reduce food waste. Seema was motivated to start the company after seeing the amount of food waste and the number of people who go hungry after traveling and working with an NGO in India. She had prior business experience and gained more knowledge and skills through the Starter Company Plus program. The company recently launched a line of aprons for kids and using some of their grant to fund inventory for the holiday season. Seema earned her MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and is an Activator at Coralus.
