Andrea Palmer

Andrea Palmer is the founder and CEO of Awake Labs, which produces wearable technology to measure stress and anxiety. She first developed the idea in a commerce class for engineering students where she had to develop a business plan, and envisioned the device that would help parents and caregivers of children and adults with autism to monitor signs of anxiety in real time. Data from the wearable, a smartwatch, are transmitted to an app to allow self-advocates and caregivers monitor stress to improve quality of life and avoid stress-related incidents. After working with accelerators, Andrea’s team is looking at how the device, called Reveal, can help other groups, including those with neurological disorders and addiction.
