Candies Kotchapaw

Candies Kotchapaw, a visionary leader in the Black community, founded Developing Young Leaders of Tomorrow, Today (DYLOTT) while completing her Master’s of Social Work at York University. There, she identified the precarious experience of black social workers and the need for their inclusion in policy development. DYLOTT delivers youth programs that develop future Black leaders with mentoring and mentorship opportunities, training and skills development, and sector-specific knowledge. Candies’ goal is to strategically dismantle entry point barriers and socio-economic inequities historically faced by Black communities.
