Inez Cook

Inez Cook is the co-founder and owner of Salmon N’Bannock Bistro, a proud member of the Nuxalk Nation, and a survivor of the 60’s scoop. Taken from her family at a young age, Inez is outspoken about her experience “growing up white”, feeling out of place within a happy home. Her adoptive family instilled a love for good food in Inez, who dove head-first into researching First Nations ingredients and cooking techniques to celebrate her roots. Her restaurant became a quick success with a warm reception from the local community, thanks to innovative and modern takes on meals featuring traditional ingredients.
