Lisa Drader-Murphy established her first independent label, Turbine, after discovering a stock of high-end fabrics in the warehouse of her employer. Today Drader-Murphy is a highly recognized designer and president of the Lisa Drader-Murphy brand. Since establishing her brand in 1997, Drader-Murphy has grown it to four posh retail locations and a mobile boutique. Her business has also received coverage in several media outlets, including CTV, CBC, NY Times, Entertainment Tonight, ELLE, and Cosmopolitan. Previously, Drader-Murphy held positions as Head of Design & Product Development for major Canadian manufacturers of technical apparel. Over 20 years later, Drader-Murphy is still catching attention all over the world with her vibrant fashion designs. She has been awarded Atlantic Business Magazine’s Top 50 CEO award for two consecutive years.
