Nneka MacGregor

Nneka MacGregor is an advocate who works with the government and other organizations to eradicate violence against women. She is the co-founder and Executive Director of the Women’s Centre for Social Justice (WomenatthecentrE), a leading non-profit organization created for women survivors of gender-based violence by women survivors. Today the organization has a network of almost 3,000 members globally, half of whom live in Ontario. MacGregor is a leading anti-violence consultant who in 2016 was appointed by the Canadian government to the Advisory Council on the Federal Strategy Against Gender-Based Violence. She sits on several advisory boards/committees, including Legal Aid Ontario and the Toronto Police Service. In the past, she served as a board member for the UK-based charity, Girl Child Network, Bayview Glen, and the Provincial Domestic Violence Advisory Council.
