The WEKH/The Forum: Sharing Platform is designed to allow women to access resources and information they need, to offer knowledge and connections they may have, and to support each other in this difficult time. 1. Users
The Sharing Platform is designed for women by women. It includes women entrepreneurs, professionals and organizations that support women entrepreneurs, researchers and academics, and those working in government ministries and agencies that serve women entrepreneurs.
Our definition of woman is inclusive to all women-identified, non-binary, and Two-Spirit people.
2. Community Guidelines
This platform is designed to be a space where all users feel comfortable asking for what they need, sharing and engaging.
All discussion on the platform must be respectful and inclusive. A member of the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (WEKH) staff will monitor and moderate the platform on a daily basis and other experts will support us as connectors and curators. We reserve the right to remove any posts or comments, without warning, which we deem to:
- Discriminate on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, ability, religion, political affiliation or beliefs, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression
- Aim to exploit other users
- Contain threatening, abusive, defamatory, vulgar, libelous, or hateful content
- Threaten another user’s privacy
- Attempt to impersonate or misrepresent another user, person or entity
- Attempt to “spam,” clog or inhibit open discussion
- Focus on content entirely unrelated to women entrepreneurship
Violations may result in a users’ ability to use the platform to be revoked.

3. Profile Visibility
If you create an Ask or a Give, your user name and selected profile type (e.g. Researcher | Chercheuse) will be visible to all users on the Platform. Your email address will not be visible unless you decide to privately email users who comment on your post outside of the platform.
If you respond to an Ask or a Give, your email address will be shared with the user who has created the post. This is to facilitate easy communication outside of the platform between users who may help one another. Other users of the platform will only see the name you provide for your profile during the sign-up process.
4. Accessibility
Our goal is to make WEKH/The Forum: Sharing Platform accessible to individuals with a wide range of abilities and lived experiences wherever possible. At this time Glide Apps, the system that the platform is built on, does have certain limitations that make it difficult to ensure that all features of the platform are accessible to all possible users. We are working diligently to make the platform more accessible as new features are made available. 5. Privacy Policy
The Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (WEKH) is housed at Ryerson University. As such, our activities are governed by the University’s Privacy Policy which is subject to Ontario’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) requirements regarding the use, disclosure, and retention of personal information.
