Amber Severinson

Amber Severinson is a licensed therapist in Port Alberni, British Columbia. Her practice, Huu-Miis & Tuhmapt Counselling Services, offers culturally sensitive services for intergenerational trauma, adoption, and parenting. Amber holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto, where she specialized in Indigenous Trauma and Resiliency. Her career is motivated by her own experience with intergenerational trauma, as well as her 15 years of experience working in Indigenous child welfare. Amber is a Tseshaht and Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ woman, and she grew up in her home territory on Vancouver Island.
