Annette Verschuren

Annette Verschuren is a successful business leader and philanthropist. She has a long career in the retail industry, beginning as a co-founder of arts and crafts store Michaels Canada, then serving as CEO of Home Depot Canada and Asia, and now serving as the CEO of clean-tech firm NRStor, which develops and manages energy storage projects. During her tenure at Home Depot, she oversaw the expansion of the company’s Canadian operations from 19 to 179 stores and increased revenue from $600 million to $6 billion. She founded NRStor in 2012 after taking a year off and traveling the world, where she saw the potential for energy storage in developing economies. Throughout her career, she has served on various government advisory councils and committees and has been recognized with numerous awards and honorary doctorates for her contributions to business, philanthropy, and sustainability. She is also a best-selling author and dedicated mentor to future leaders.
