Ashleigh Montague

Hamilton, Ontario is the homebase of BLK Owned, a women-founded, Black-founded company that showcases Black-owned business in the Greater Hamilton area. Hosting a platform of over 8000 followers as of 2023, BLK Owned creates social media campaigns to empower and create a sustainable, thriving economy for Black-owned businesses. The company was founded by three sisters: Ashleigh, Abygail, and Alexandria Montague. Thanks to the founders’ vision, BLK Owned has developed Accelerator programming for young Black entrepreneurs ages 18-39, the first of its kind in the Hamilton region. The three founders were featured in Business Link Hamilton’s 40 under 40 in 2022. Ashleigh Montague is a project management professional and a graduate of McMaster University’s Degroote School of Business. She is motivated by a constant willingness to learn, a passion for connecting with others, and a strong interest in inspiring meaningful change in the community.
