Cheryl Nembhard

Cheryl Nembhard is the artistic director & co-founder of Exousia Media Group, an international award-winning multimedia company. The theatrical productions released under EMG’s banner have addressed topics such as gang violence, drug addiction, child molestation and abuse. In 2010, Nembard’s hard-hitting production The Ultimate Sacrifice made history as the first Canadian Gospel musical to play on a Mirvish stage. Aside from her reputation as an established playwright, director, composer and filmmaker, Nembhard has also dedicated her life to the development of creative spaces for at-risk youth and low-income families. In 2011, she launched EMG Education, a Not for Profit Arts Education company that has expanded its reach to over 85,000 students across Ontario and counting.
