Clare Beckton

Clare Beckton is an award-winning advocate for the advancement of women who has made significant contributions in the fields of law, public service, and entrepreneurship. She holds a Bachelor degree and an LLB from the University of Saskatchewan, as well as an MPA from Harvard University, where she was a Fulbright scholar and Littauer fellow. Clare is the founder of Own Your Own Success, a business that provides coaching, consulting, and inspirational speaking services to help women achieve their goals. She has served as a senior executive in the Government of Canada, including as head of agency for Status of Women Canada and Assistant Deputy Attorney General for Aboriginal Affairs at Justice Canada. She is an accomplished author and former professor of law at Dalhousie University, where her work on freedom of expression and equality was widely recognized, including by the Supreme Court of Canada.
