Dr. Mounira Benamer

Rochalia Bio is a skincare and wellness brand that makes its products out of natural ingredients. They use 100% essential oils and natural ingredients to make products including room diffusers, creams, soaps, and massage oils. The company’s president is Dr. Mounira Benamer, an entrepreneur who holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry. Dr. Benamer is originally from Kabylia, Algeria, and she moved to Québec in 2012. She founded Rochalia Bio because she was inspired by the Algerian tradition of making skincare products out of natural ingredients and medicinal plants. For example, one of the key ingredients in her products is North African prickly pear oil. She also uses ingredients that are native to Québec, such as cedar oil. In 2021, Fondation Club Avenir recognized Dr. Benamer with their annual women’s entrepreneurship award.
