Emily Cook is the founder and owner of Build Your Library, a company providing a secular homeschool curriculum that is literature-based and infused with the teachings of Charlotte Mason. She is an experienced homeschooling mother of four children. Emily created Build Your Library out of a desire for a curriculum that was rich in great literature, history-based, and that incorporated narration, copy work, dictation, and memory work into education. Build Your Library is a comprehensive K-12 program that covers history, literature, science, and art. The program uses a broad selection of real books, including modern children’s literature, and incorporates poetry memorization, nature drawing journals, copy work, and dictation. Emily’s educational business was awarded the Reader’s Choice Award for Elementary Curriculum by the Practical Homeschooling Magazine.
