Gloria Parsons

Gloria Parsons

At the young age of 26 and with a grade 11 education, Gloria entered the construction industry in central Newfoundland. Using all of her savings, she financed three residential housing projects by pre-selling. She expanded on her venture and founded a construction company, the Parsons Group of Companies. Gloria is also the founder of Chancellor Park, a 165-bed long-term care home. Gloria designed Chancellor Park to include a daycare facility, which is part of the intergenerational programming offered between the daycare participants and residents. Today, Chancellor Park and Oak Trees and Acorns Child Care Centre employ approximately 170 people.
