Janelle Hinds

Janelle Hinds is the founder and Executive Director of Helping Hands, an app that increases youth community engagement through technological platforms and in-person events. Janelle created the app with a mission to equip young people with cognitive skills that support active engagement and foster a sense of civic responsibility. Helping Hands helps its users focus on the impact of community service and communication skills. Janelle is a recognized social entrepreneur who was recognized as a Changemaker in Forbes’s 2019 edition of 30 Under 30. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and biomedical engineering from McMaster University.
