Jennifer LeBrun

Jennifer LeBrun is the CEO of ULAT Dryer Balls, a company that specializes in creating handcrafted wool dryer balls for laundry. Despite not having a background in mechanical engineering, Jennifer saw an opportunity to scale her business by enlisting the help of engineering students to automate her manufacturing process. By applying new technology to a traditional material, Jennifer was able to increase productivity and reduce costs while still maintaining the handcrafted charm of her product. Her business has been nominated for the Small Business BC Awards for two consecutive years. She believes in staying true to her values as a Canadian business and enlists the help of a local manufacturer to automate her production process. Jennifer’s company has a focus on sustainability by using wool as a natural alternative to dryer sheets and softeners. The company’s success has led to their expansion beyond BC and Canada.
