Joanie Asselin is the owner, President, and Biologist at Éducazoo, an animal housing and education service in Québec. Éducazoo offers to bring exotic and domestic animals to events like parties, schools, and daycares. They house over 400 animals from 80 different species. Joanie holds a Master of Science degree in biology from the Université de Montréal. She is passionate about animal education. Under her leadership in 2018, Éducazoo expanded their services to include animal day camps and scientific camps, where young people could learn the biology of different species. The teachers at Éducazoo use guides from the Ministry of Education, following approximately 30 different themes. Joanie’s entrepreneurship has been recognized by several awards organizations, including Evol’s 25 Leaders of Impact in 2022.
