Tanya Lee and Karen Lee were long time friends and business partners before founding their “workleisure” inspired clothing line, Lezé The Label. They learned a lot about entrepreneurship in their first venture selling wedding planners. With Tanya’s experience in textiles and Karen’s passion for comfortable fashion, the friends teamed up at the right time to start their business. Branded as work attire that feels as comfortable as pajamas, Tanya and Karen’s clothing made from recycled materials was a hit on kickstarter, raising over $255 thousand in pre-sales. After their early success in 2018, the friends were ideally positioned to grow as the COVID-19 pandemic shifted many to remote working – seeing growth of more than 200%.
