Meghan Weeks

Meghan Weeks is a Cree/English artisan and designer. She makes and sells jewelry through her online shop, MDW Jewelry. Meghan makes a wide variety of jewelry including gold and beaded jewelry. Her pieces reflect the teachings of the matriarchs in her family, her childhood memories, and her healing from intergenerational trauma. For over 20 years, Meghan has been making art and jewelry to reclaim her Indigenous identity while learning about her culture and participating in ceremonies. Some of MDW’s jewelry collections honour her family members, including her Aunty Darlene, who is a respected elder in Meghan’s community. Her business is listed in the Native Women’s Association of Canada’s #BeTheDrum Indigenous Women’s Business Directory.
