Melissa Daniels

Melissa Daniels is a public health nurse, lawyer, and the owner of Naidié Nezų, a skincare company named after a dene reference to “good medicine”. Melissa’s background in public health nursing led her to the law when she saw how environmental degradation impacted the health of the community, and set out to protect it. When she returned to the Athabaska Chipweyan First Nation from Victoria, she found it difficult to source organic products and decided to create her own line incorporating Dene ancestral knowledge about botanicals and plants. Melissa’s products use locally-sourced ingredients paired with those sourced from elsewhere.
