Melissa Kargiannakis

Melissa Kargiannakis is the founder and CEO of Skritswap, a Canadian start-up that uses artificial intelligence to replace jargon with plain, everyday language. Kargiannakis first thought up the idea behind Skritswap while studying at Western University. Since then, she has brought her radical vision to the forefront, leading Skritswap to win the Top Most Innovative Companies in Canada. Kargiannakis has pitched all over the world, including the League of Extraordinary Women in Silicon Valley in 2018. For her contributions, Kargiannakis was recognized as one of the Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada and was one of only three Canadians to receive an award from the Queen of England in 2015.
