Nicole McKinney

Nicole McKinney is the founder and President of WAKING THE unCONSCIOUS, an influential Canadian non-profit organization that focuses on DEI discourse in the workplace. The organization’s mission is to encourage and create a greater understanding of societal differences and to continuously develop innovative initiatives that create sustainable behavioural and relational changes in individuals and organizations. Nicole is a digital marketing strategist with over 20 years of experience as a leader and strategist for clients across North America. She founded WAKING THE unCONSCIOUS in 2019, drawing inspiration from her father who was a renowned academic on anti-Black racism. Nicole is an advocate for the inclusion of racialized women, and she dedicates her company to embracing change in technology.
