Rachel Pessah

Rachel Pessah is a Speech-Language Pathologist and the owner of Bright Spot Therapy Services. She started her own business after working as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist, due to the high demand for her services in her hometown of Timmins. Bright Spot Therapy Services offers speech-language pathology and occupational therapy services for children and adults in Timmins, Sudbury, and remote, fly-in communities in the North. Rachel and her staff of 10 work with clients who have a range of speech and communication challenges, such as articulation and phonology in children, or acquired brain injury and degenerative conditions in adults. Rachel’s background in teaching and her passion for learning and diversity in her work has been instrumental in her success. She is also a mentor who provides opportunities for students to complete their course practicums. Rachel is the 2021 Northern Ontario Business Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
