Sandra Froher

Sandra Froher is a fashion designer, artist, and natural dyer from the traditional ancestral and unceded territory of the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations in Victoria, BC. She runs her own business called Sandra Froher Art, which can be found in the Native Women’s Association of Canada’s #BeTheDrum Indigenous Women’s Business Directory. Sandra makes wearable and canvas art using eco-print dye from plants. Her materials are natural, using both Indigenous and non-Indigenous plants that she collects on nature walks. Her artistic inspiration comes from her Indigenous ancestral roots of respecting nature. Sandra’s pieces have been featured in fashion shows and art galleries, such as the 2022 New York Fashion Week.
