Vanessa Vakharia

Vanessa Vakharia used to hate math. She even failed grade 11 math twice. But after changing schools, she started to see things from a different angle. As the founder and director of The Math Guru, Vakharia uses unconventional teaching to help students of all learning abilities overcome existing barriers and excel in the subject. Vakharia is also the published author of Math Hacks, a book that makes math stress-free and relatable for young kids and their parents. Her ultimate goal is to change math culture and help make STEM cool and more accessible. Vakharia is recognized widely as an expert in math education and has made regular appearances on television and news outlets all over the country.
