ParticipantGreat topic and WE NEED YOU! I have one idea–how about “Dating someone who is dealing with eldercare”. Yep. It’s a factor especially for those later in life who are single looking for love. If you are dating the person, what can you expect? if you ARE the person, what do you need to consider when thinking about bringing love into your life again?

ParticipantI would reach out to the Canadian Film Development Corp. They have a lot of programs and can connect you. There is a new womxn in digital media (including films) in Ontario called the Fifth Wave Initiative. And here is an article on Oya Media–they have been very successful and might help you out via email inquiry (super busy) https://www.liisbeth.com/2020/06/16/the-power-of-two/. You might also contact Joan Prowse at Green Heroes. https://www.linkedin.com/in/joan-prowse-96b49214?originalSubdomain=ca

ParticipantI like Lisa’s suggestion. Not clear on where in Ontario you are located? There are over 45 great accelerator programs around….

ParticipantLovely site. Clean design. Range of posts. But there are a lot of people posting these kinds of stories. What is your goal with this site? How will I, or society benefit from my reading it or supporting it?

ParticipantCompleted the survey! I love chocolate! Wish the questions had more than one option. Could only choose one when many would have applied. When you are up and running let me know. We publish a feminist enterprise magazine that profiles entrepreneurs who embed anti-oppressive, anti-sexist and anti-racist operating values into their work and enterprise design. http://www.liisbeth.com

ParticipantHey the Instagram account looks nice re: jewellery looks nice but IMHO does not not live up to the name “standout”‘. The photos and curation is really pleasant but run of the mill if you are someone who does a lot of looking online for unique things,
For starts, all photos are 25-35 year old -looking women who sort of all look the same–long hair, similar age, conservative looks/clothes, perfect totally flawless skin, and the “model vacuous gaze” in most cases. Kudos for diversity in terms of race, but other than that, everyone/ I also looked at the website.
Your pieces are lovely and I think can appeal to women and more importantly, womxn of every age. Are you limiting your market by featuring a subset?
The jewellery stands out. But the models don’t. I would choose Stand out people–activist, creators, womxn on the move to model–and then you can add the story about how these women stand out in life–not just as consumers of jewellry.
I would incorporate images of different body types, expressive fashion styles, and feature womxn doing stand out things.
I know I don’t have to tell you how crowded this market is. And with COVID-19, people are reducing unnecessary spends. Finding a way to connect your works to something that really matters would, I believe, really set you apart –aka, Standout.
Good luck with your venture! pkm (www.liisbeth.com)
