Canada-wide | Partout au Canada
Les Agricultrices du Québec (AQ) are seeking partnerships across Canada to apply to the WES Ecosystem fund.
Les agricultrices du Québec is the only structured women’s agricultural union in Canada. Since its founding in 1987, the organization has represented and served women farmers across Québec by influencing decisions to positively affect the agricultural sector. Today, the AQ stand out for their innovative vision, which is to become a pilot network ensuring the success of women farmers and of sustainable agriculture. To reach this vision, we strive to provide women working in agriculture and forestry with an efficient network dedicated to developing their potential. Our objective is to bring together professionals who wish to participate fully in the development of agriculture and forestry.
All women, and persons identifying as women, related to agriculture and forestry are welcome to join the AQ, whether they are farmers, successors, spouses of farmers, or aspiring farmers.
We provide training, entrepreneurship support and services to women working in agriculture mainly in Québec (in French and English) and we are now extending our services to women farmers across Canada. We also work with organisations aiming to increase the participation of women on their boards and decision-making positions.
