Angela DeMontigny

Angela DeMontigny is a Cree/Métis designer and artist in Hamilton, Ontario. She is the founder of Lodge Soy Candles, which is inspired by her cultural roots of Indigenous ceremony and ancestral knowledge. The business’s Ceremony collection comprises six scents, all of which encapsulate Indigenous values of wellness and nature. According to Angela, her products are pimatisiwin (an act of self-care). Lodge Soy Candles was a semi-finalist in the 2021 Ontario Pow Wow Pitch, where Angela represented her business. She also runs a boutique called Angela DeMontigny, which sells original, authentic, and contemporary Indigenous fashion items.
