Anne Gaignaire

Anne Gaignaire is a journalist with 18 years of experience. She has lived and worked in Europe, Africa, and Oceania before moving to Québec in 2010. In Montreal, she worked for various publications, such as La Presse, Les Affaires, Le Devoir, L’Actualité, Enfants Québec, Finance, and Investissement. In March 2018, she founded Le Curieux, a digital newspaper aimed at helping children aged 8 to 14 understand the news and become informed citizens. The publication also offers workshops in schools and libraries to teach children how to recognize fake news and conduct reliable research on the internet. Le Curieux has a growing subscriber base of 22,000 in schools, and the number of workshops in schools and libraries is increasing. The company serves a Quebec audience and Francophone communities around the world. Anne also has experience mentoring entrepreneurs and has learned that mentoring breaks the isolation.
