Brooke Hammer

Brooke started Chimp Treats, an all-fruit vegan alternative to ice cream, while she was still a student at Trent University. She has tapped into a growing sector of the consumer market focused on ingredient transparency, simplicity, and natural foods. After initial success cold calling or visiting health food retailers with her products, Brooke’s “nicecream” now has national distribution in major Canadian grocers. She previously founded Take Flight, an organization dedicated to helping adults with disabilities find meaningful employment, and has partnered with Community Living Peterborough to employ local adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at Chimp Treats.
