Carmen MacKenzie is an experienced marketing communications professional with a history of leadership in health care & NGO sectors. Her company, Mackenzie Healthcare Technologies, is set to launch Paraglide, an automated repositioning system for wheelchair users that provides independence and dignity while eliminating the risk of injury to caregivers. When Covid-19 hit, they paused production to make 1.2 million face shields to protect frontline healthcare workers at Nova Scotia Health, the IWK Health Centre and nursing homes across the province.
