Catherine McLeod Seltzer

Catherine McLeod Seltzer is the co-founder and Director of Lucara Diamond Corp, a publicly-traded Canadian diamond exploration and mining company with operations in Southern Africa. After founding the company with her business partner, Eira Thomas, Lucara expanded her 40% ownership of the Karowe mine (formerly known as AK6 kimberlite project) to 100% by acquiring African Diamonds. She has been involved in more than $4 billion in corporate transactions and has a proven track record of helping build numerous successful Canadian mineral companies, such as Miramar Mining, Bear Creek Mining, and Kinross Gold Corporation to name a few. Catherine’s unwavering commitment and ability to create growth-focused companies that generate significant shareholder value has made her a recognized leader in the mineral industry. Most recently, she was recognized by the Association of Women in Finance with the 2021 PEAK Award for Significant Board Contribution.
