Claudette McGowan

In October 2022, cybersecurity executive Claudette McGowan launched her own company called Protexxa. She came up with the idea during the COVID-19 pandemic, when she discovered that cybercrime had quadrupled and decided that she needed to come up with a viable solution. Claudette’s career in cybersecurity includes a diverse profile of partners, including financial services, healthcare, government, and consulting. Her expertise has allowed her business to take off successfully. She is the recipient of numerous honours and awards, including an Honourary Doctorate from Carleton University and the prestigious Harry Jerome Award, Technology category in 2021.
